We had a great 'Meet & Greet' last night with some wonderful heavy 'Hors d' oeuvres', the best kind, right!?

Guess who forgot to take any pictures? Maybe someone else did but I don't think so????? Torben where are you!!?? #-o Well I did take a few outside a little earlier in the afternoon. I added them in a thread below.

Hope you all have a great time while you're here!!

Linda, I thought about taking pictures. But I didn't think about it until this morning. Oops. We will have to rectify that tonight.

Had an interesting night. Tornado warning, rain, winds and lost power. I think it was about 3:30 that we lost power and it is now 10:00 and still no power. :(

Those with generators have made coffee for those without, so nobody has gone "postal" LOL! Other than that, life is good and it feels like we are camping! :o

I am relieved to hear that everyone is safe and that Ray could get to a cup of coffee. Hope the power is restored and the rest of the rally goes well. I certainly enjoyed my day trip. Brittney had such a great time visiting with everyone and seeing some friends that she had missed in the last adventures. She slept in till 10:30 this morning. The Pot Luck was wonderful, Thanks to Ray for the Main course. Lots of love to all. Ellen was sad to have missed you. Till the next time, Brittney says Woof!

Pat, it was good to see you and Brittney. Wish Ellen could have been here, too. We got power back around noon, so all is well!

Yes as Joe said, we had a very interesting Thursday night. A few of us met about 4:30 a.m. at the bath house since that was the go place in case of Tornado's. Since our cell phones said 'Tornado Warning' and a siren went off, you didn't have to tell this Kansan twice. By the time we got there it was about over. It's not a bad place to gather with a laundry room and some nice chairs also. While we were there the electricity went off and yes, as Joe said didn't come back on until just before noon. Last night we were under another Tornado Watch so I just slept in my clothes ... you know ya gotta have one in every crowd right???and you know who yours is!! :D

A big thank you to Ray & Linda for the great pulled pork for our pot luck dinner on Thursday night!! Also thanks to B.J. we had a great campfire. What a nice evening with stars in the sky before the bad weather came in. I will have lot's of pictures later, it may not happen until I get home. My computer works a little slower here ... and so do I. #-o

Pat it was great to see you on Wednesday night, we're so glad that you and Brittany were able to join us. The cake was awesome, thank you so much!! We had a dessert night last night and finished off all the desserts.

Several of the guys have been doing some repairs and fix-up work for several of us. A huge thank you to each of you that work so hard to help others, we appreciate it more than words can say!!

I think it has rained all night but thank goodness no Tornado Warning all night long ... I could have worn my jammies after all. But who cares, I was very peaceful sleeping in my clothes, all ready to hit that door if need be. That would just allow me extra time to grab Frank's pants and convince him it was necessary to go. Geez, sure hope that isn't TMI for you all.

Many of us are leaving for the Maifest in Hermann at 9:00 a.m. this morning. It's still raining right now so I do hope it stops soon!!! Better bring our rain gear just in case. A couple of streets will be blocked off and there will be many, many vendors. Also there will be a great car show the guys will enjoy.

I thought we would be all tied up in Hermann today so I didn't plan anything for this evening. I'm thinking now that we could all meet at 5:30 for a "Brown Bag Supper". We have a bunch of hamburger buns left also (since I didn't listen to David4x4) (about 40) if anyone would like them. Let me know what you all think this morning so we can get the word around.

Hope you all have a very happy and fun day ... and dry!!

Unlike Thursday night, we were prepared to run to the Tornado (ladies bathroom) Shelter. However, we did not sleep in our clothes. We just had them ready to put on and had the important things in a bag so we could grab and run. Thank God for keeping us safe last night and enabling a bit more sleep than we got Thursday night. We still had some pretty good thunderstorms, however.

I'd like to second the thank you to Ray & Linda for the pulled pork sandwiches. They were delicious! As you all know, there has been lots of eating of high calorie foods! Going to have to diet and exercise when we get home.

Talked to Linda before she left. Everyone can bring their sandwich fixings and use buns to make a sandwich (hamburger, lunch meat, tomato, onion, etc). If you want mayo bring it. Mustard and barq. are at club house. Betsy

We're so glad to have met many CCRVOC members we "talk" to on the forum. We spent a long weekend at the Region 6 Spring Rally in Hermann, Mo. when they were celebrating their Maifest. Visiting some local flair shops and restaurants. More than anything we were glad to visit, pick brains, share stories and tell tales (Ray Sager) with our club members. Learned a new rule (Law of the Chair, by Jo), watched the RV repair gang and had a couple terrific bonfires (BJ).

Some of the attendees were aware I lost low gear(s) in my transmission and was left with only high and reverse. As luck would have it a good friend of mine lives about 30 miles from the campground and is also a 5th wheel camper so he picked up my Cedar Creek and took it to his farm. I was able to get to I-70 and managed to get it into high gear and drove the 180 some miles home to Overland Park. Our house is roughly 4 miles from I-435 with multiple stoplights so with the engine screaming at 3000 rpm I was moving forward about 15 mph for the first 2 1/2 miles then all forward movement failed me. Reverse was still working so I backed home on side streets the last 1 1/2 miles but I did make it home. Good thing Jill is used to my antics and doesn't embarrass easily. I'm thinking I won't be able to use that campsite I have reserved for Memorial Day weekend.

Thank you Frank and Linda for putting this campout together and thank you Marla for finding the campground.
